Background / General description:
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, is a global investor and advisor committed to promoting private sector development in emerging markets. In addition to its investment work, IFC also focuses on advising on financial advisory mandates for Public Private Partnerships in the infrastructure sector. Due to the growth of its business, IFC is looking to recruit for the following position:

Duties and Accountabilities:
The Senior Investment/Project Officer will be part of IFC s Infrastructure Advisory team and will lead IFC s mandates in Infrastructure Advisory. He/she will lead small project teams and manage technical and legal consultants to execute the mandates, including undertaking the due diligence, valuation, structuring, marketing to potential investors and conducting international competitive bidding.

Selection Criteria:
1. Advanced degree in Finance or Business (or equivalent) from a top reputed university.
2. Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in the field of Project and Structured Finance, PPPs and Privatizations, Mergers & Acquisitions etc. with either a leading investment bank, infrastructure fund or a consultancy firm; at least 5 of which should be in a leading role.
3. Good contacts with governments in the MENA region and investors interested in the MENA region to be able to originate transactions. 4. Good analytical and financial modeling skills including understanding of DCF analysis. Sound knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.
5. Familiarity with legal/regulatory documentation for project finance, privatizations/BOTs and the ability to undertake risk analysis.
6. Good knowledge of investors and lenders requirements. The successful candidates should have strong leadership, team work, organizational and communication skills. Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in Arabic and French is desirable. Willingness to travel extensively in the MENA region is required.
